Working On The Woodshed ...

Roof Under Construction
We worked on the roof rafters yesterday ...
Mike was feeling a bit better ...
I did most of the packing ...
marked all the lumber for Mike to cut the notches ...

Went out this morning after breakfast ...
putting up the boards ...
first roof rafter up ...
was a perfect fit ...
my job was to lay them out ...
and hand them up to Mike ...
for him to fasten them to the frame ...
tried to make it as easy as I could for him ...
less steps for Thunder Foot the better ...
we completed this part of the roof ...
within 2 hours ...

Mike nailing the first OSB board onto to the rafters ...
those 4X8 sheets were a little awkward for me to carry ...
but I was able to place them where they were needed ...
and then lift them up to Mike on the roof ...
part way thru ...
we stopped for a lunch break ...
then went back out ...
to finish nailing all the sheets on ...

When the roof was completed ...
we started to pre-fab the sides of the woodshed ...
we were able to put the built sections into place ...
with the use of a sledge hammer ...
as
"once again"
Mike and his precision measuring caused us a bit of grief ...
we will have to finish the closing in of the sides tomorrow ...
I think we've done enough work ...

I was grateful to have had dinner started early this morning ...
knew it was going to be a busy day ..
thank goodness for "Crock Pots "
we had a nice dinner ...
and boy, was it great to sit down and relax ... !!!
