Visiting Oma ...

Joseph Creek Village Meeting Room

The Roberts Family paid Oma a visit today ...

in the meeting room ...

where the children had plenty of room to play ...

and have lots of attention from seniors living at the "Resort" ...

It was going to be a busy day in town for all of us ...

heading to the Water Park ...

after Ian, Kendall and I delivered Oma's new TV ...

It's wonderful to have your grown children around to help out in situations like this ...

Oma with her new 26" Flat Screen TV...

she was so surprised ...

look how happy she is ... !!

Kendall & Daigen for being so patient ...

Off to the Water Park we go ... !!!

When the Roberts arrived here on Sunday ...

Grandpa and Daigen were swimming in the pool ...

Arden was ready to go in the pool right away ...

Jake hardly had time to get anything out of the Van ...

there are priorities in life ...

and playing in the water is one ...

It was quite hot outside and the mosquitoes were terrible ...

Maren brought the twins inside ...

Carys and Brynn ...

were so happy to be out of their car seats ...

free to play on the floor ...

After a goodnights sleep and a hardy breakfast ...

it was playtime ...

Daigen loves sitting in the toy box ...

He was checking the toys before setting them on the floor ...

for Carys and Brynn ...

then Arden joined in the fun ...

Making Music ...

On The Piano

Will this be the next piano prodigy ... ?

Daigen arrived on Friday night ...

He loves playing the piano and singing ...

He has quite the technique ...

When he is finished with his piece ...

He claps his hands ... 

and then with one finger ...

he hits the last key (A) on the piano ...

looks at us for an applause ...

Arden Roberts arrived on Sunday evening ...

our entertainment was a duet on the piano ...

Daigen was giving her some tips ...

(with a bowl of Cheerios in hand)

they played us a lovely tune ...

As you can see a break was needed...

Daigen shared a few Cheerios ...

but Arden figured she should have the whole bowl ...

music session was over for now ...

they both came into the kitchen ...

for a refill ...

each getting their own bowl of Cheerios ...

Happy children once more ... !

Fun In The Sun ...

One ... Two ... Three ... Jump ... !

Ian, Kendall & Daigen arrived Friday night ...

We went for a long walk this morning ...

to Oma's house and back ...

then ended up swimming in the pool ...

for almost the whole day ...

Daigen loves the water ...!!

we only went inside ...

to have a break for lunch ...

then back in the pool again ...

until it was dinner time ...

Daigen wore himself out today... 

he could hardly keep his eyes open during dinner ...

I'm sure one little guy and four adults ...

will sleep well tonight ... !

Another Day of Fishing ...

Whiteswan Lake

We decided to take the boat up to Whiteswan Lake yesterday...

it was a long way back off the highway ...

35 km on a winding logging road ...

when we arrived ...

it was far too windy to launch the boat ...

terrible storm brewing ...

we toured the around the lake and then headed back down the mountain ...

As we travelled to around the 18 km mark ...

we saw what looked a small black cat on the side of the road ...

but found it to be a baby bear ...

with its sibling near by ...

we stopped the truck ...

Mike took the picture from inside the cab ...

then saw momma bear at the base of the tree ...

she was a huge brown bear ...

we were not able to get a picture as she quickly called the cubs ...

and they headed down the gorge ...

We were not ready to call it quits ...

so we thought we would head to Premier Lake ...

to check if we could go fishing ...

it seemed this lake was protected from this wind ...

so we launched the boat ...

fished for a few hours ...

lost a few ... but ...

landed 2 nice 1 lb Rainbow trout in the boat...

on our way out ...

we captured a few picture of the lilies ...

and the loon...

it was another awesome day ...!

Ready for the BBQ ... !

Clean-Up Has Begun ...

Mike Hard At Work

This project is well underway ...

clearing the area for the new wood shed ...

It took Mike awhile to dig around ... 

and pull out 5 large stumps ...

then hauled them away to be dealt with at a later time ...

there were huge holes left ...

 to be filled in with dirt ...

Before we start building  ...

we are going to decide if we will move the boiler ...

to another location ...

Mike did a great job today...

he deserves to sit down and relax ...

and enjoy his beer...

while inspecting the job site ...

Finally... we were able to open up the pool July 1...
due to the cool weather and rain ...
this was the latest ever ...
but now with the boiler fired up...
pool temperature is around 80 degrees (27C)...
a little to warm for cooling off ...
but wonderful for the evenings ...
Mike prefers the temp around 75-78 F
We love the pool ... !

Good Friends ...

What a nice surprise for mom ... to receive a phone call ...

from long time friends ...

Perry & Linda

They came to visit her today ...

while enjoying dinner at Eastside Mario's ...

they spent the evening reminiscing about old times ...

and catching up with what is new ...

I ended up joining them for a decadent dessert, coffee ...

and lots of chatting and laughter ...

how wonderful to see old friends get together ... !!!

Day of Fishing ...

On Premiere Lake

only a couple other boats on the lake today ...

enjoyed our time fishing ...

 picnic on the boat ...

chatting ... 

and peace & quiet ....

Mike was the first one  ...
to catch a fish ...
we both had quite a few on the line through out the day ...
only to have lost them ...
as we brought them to the side of the boat ...
one look at the both of  us  ...
and they jumped right off the hook ...
or maybe it was the sight of the net ...
that frightened them ...
took me awhile until I found the right combination ...
size of Willow Leaf, Fish Lures & Bait ...
when I did ...
 I caught a good sized fish ... largest one so far ...
until ...
on our way back to the dock ...
Mike caught a 2lb Rainbow Trout ...

Mom treated us to a Buffet Sunday Brunch ...

with our neighbours Don & Bonnie ...

at the Heritage Inn ...

This was her way of thanking us ...

 for looking after her home during the winter months ...

while she was away ...

We spent a few hours ...

eating... chatting ... eating ... laughing and eating ... !!! 

 ... it was fabulous ...

not sure I need to cook dinner tonight ...

we were all stuffed ...

Thank you mom ... !!!
