now ...  I only have to get little pebbles ...

Clearing The Wood Pile


As there was a threat of rain again today ...
and the lawn still too wet to mow ...
hauled this stack of firewood to another location ...
so that Mike will be able to clear this area ...
to move the wood boiler ...
and build a new wood shed ...
no more tarps ...
yeah ... !

Job completed ...

thank goodness for the tractor ...

to do the heavy work ...

 Guess I will have to pull out the tarps and cover this pile for now ...

Definitely need a break ...

that's it for me today ... !

What A Mess !


What a fine mess I got myself into ...
couldn't stand the overgrowth of grass and weeds amongst dying shrubs ...
decided to do an overhaul ...
thank goodness Mike was busy working out and about with the tractor ....
persuaded him to help me ...
removing the shrubs ... hauling dirt ...
 and with gathering large rocks ...
never a shortage of rocks here ...
they continue to grow ... usually after heavy rains ...

Out here in the  boonies ...

you work with what you have available ...

this is as far as this project got today ...

it will take another day or two ...

 to gather small rocks to fill in between the larger rocks ...

no more grass or weeds to tend with ...

at least in this part of the yard ...

trying to simplify my work load ...

 were flying across the lake ...

then landing high in the trees ...

An afternoon spring storm ...

 rained so hard ... 

was like a sheet dropped from the sky ...

watched parts of our driveway...

 being washed away ...

the storm only lasted about 15 min ...

(The Viva Las Vegas Car Show is the best car show of its type anywhere. 
Cars are strictly pre-63 and must be in a style from that era. ) 
Four fabulous days rockin' it on ... !

He won the medal for the USA 2 man bobsled team  ...

in the Vancouver Olympics ...

Steve is now a motivational speaker and he addressed ...

their team meeting ...

that the team found really well done ...

Yeah ... the Kids are Here ...

The kids are in BC to attend wedding ...

Craig has is new cast on ...

some of the edges were a little rough ...

so Grandpa was asked to smooth it somehow ...

the Dremel Drill was the best tool for the job ...

Craig still has a couple of weeks to go ...

before the cast can be removed ...

He can hardly wait ...

Ella decided to get dressed in her new outfit ...

she caught sight of the purple flower I made ...

and wanted me to put it on her ...

of course we needed to take a picture ...

and then ...

we couldn't leave James out ...

so he stood beside his sister ...

while grandpa was standing behind me  ...
