Work or Play ... ?
The boys were so excited to help grandpa ...
clean up old metal ...
in his new parts washer that he purchased thru work ...
for the United Way silent auction last fall ...
the boys gathered whatever they could that was dirty and rusty ...
(whether it was any good for grandpa to use or not ...)
Mike is so patient with all the grandchildren ...
His grandfather spent many hours in the garage with him ...
working, learning, talking, bonding ...
Time well spent ....
Priceless ... !
Ella and I were in the house playing with lego ...
she was unaware as to what the boys were up to ...
after we had finished building the lego house ...
she wanted to go out to the shop ...
and yes ...
she wanted to do exactly what the boys were doing ...
so grandpa helped her with putting on the gloves ...
while the boys went outside ...
to find her a few things to wash up ...
no stopping the females in this family ...
from learning how things are done ...
I wonder how long this will last with the kids wanting to help ...
????
These kids are so lucky to have such good role models..fun and work..the feeling of accomplishment..goes such a long way for self confidence and self worth..you guys are really great involved grandparents..I hope we are able to so the same for ours as they get older!
