Clear The Deck …

It had snowed lightly throughout the day … it had been quite warm …
we were just going to sit down for dinner …
when Katie turned on the outdoor light to see what the weather was like …
what a surprise with the amount of snow that had fallen since it had gotten dark …
Katie decided that the children would go out and shovel the snow off the deck …
before we sat down to play a game …
and have our dessert …

They had done a great job clearing the snow … and by the time we had played our game …
the deck was ready to be shovelled again …

We have had this Horse Racing game for a long time …
the grandchildren wanted to learn how to play it …
Craig had found a jar full of pennies that we have kept …
just to play this game …
and he had wondered what they were for …
They quite enjoyed playing the game …
and they also had a taste of winning and losing their coins …
not sure if it was something they wanted to do with their own money … !!!
It was still a lot of fun …
