We're Flying ...

not sure I would be able to stand out on the glass ...

Even looking at these pictures ...

gives me an uneasy feeling ...  !!!

7 Days Later ...

The little seedlings were getting bigger ...

it was time to replant some of them ...

and thin out the tomato plants in the AeroGarden ...

only leaving the largest one to grow ...

Transplanting the larger plants ...

 into individual containers ...

Will be keeping an eye on the other seedlings ...

and transplanting them when it is time ... 

Love watching them grow ... !!!

Event Days At School ...

Westview School was holding event days ...

each day the kids had to dress the part ...

Monday was "Crazy Sock Day" ... !!!

Tuesday was "Team Day" ...

Daigen chose his favourite team of Snowmobilers ... !!!

His go to guy is Cam Hicks ...

Cam Hicks was so kind to send Kendall his logo ...

so that she could have it silk screened on his T-shirt ... unfortunately it could not be done ...

so Kendall approached an artist at Traders Village ...

and he was delighted to paint this masterpiece freehand ... !!!

Amazing ... 

Daigen loved his T-shirt ... !!!

Wednesday was "Hat Day" ...

Both boys were dressed in blue ...

as that is Westview's school colour ... !!!

Ian and the boys ... all decked out ...

at the Rodeo Carnival ...

they had a great time ... !!!

Looks like it was a busy day ...

 best buds ... so cute !!!

Busy Weekend ...

 Oma and I left the morning of Saturday, March 21 ...

to attend Ella's skating carnival ...

It was a beautiful day for traveling ...

 enjoying a lovely lunch  ...

then making our way to the arena to enjoy the show ... !!!

After a wonderful dinner and evening of playing games with the James & Ella ...

everyone went to bed as we had an early morning rise ...

to go watch James #10 play hockey ...

His team had won 2 games and advanced to the finals ...

 Oma & I only watched his second game ...

the final game was later in the afternoon and we planned on heading back home ...

but ... we gave him our best wishes to have a great game ...

Congratulations to the Flyers ... they won the Tournament ... !!!

Spring Is In The Air ...

Daffodils were blooming ... at the Mall ...

Oma and Burk spotted them on their walk ... 

A sure sign that Spring has arrived ... !!!

Burk also sent me a picture ...

 of their beautiful Orchid plant ...

He said they have been blooming for a couple of weeks.

This is my first Orchid plant ... 

these are the last two flowers ...

Hoping that over time ... 

it will continue to produce many more flowers ...!!!

Happy Spring ... !!!

Little Sprouts ...

Seeds were planted on March 14 ...

Amazing how quickly they sprout up ...

an explosion of greenery ... 

tomatoe ... lettuce ... cucumbers ... spinach ...

The Tomatoe plants under the dome will be watched ...

to see which one becomes the strongest plant ...

the others will be removed ...

It's exciting to see the growth from day to day ... !!!

Working In The Rain ...

The weather had been quite warm ...

so it was time to get the fruit trees pruned ...

This was the only day that our neighbour Chris ...

 was able to show me how to do the pruning ...

 in the pouring rain ...

Chris had years of experience ...

living and working on the family orchard ...

Both apple trees and the plum tree were pruned and shaped for the first time ...

Hoping they will produce copious amounts of fruit this summer ...

It had rained all night ...

and then in the early morning hours had turned to snow ...

This is what I woke up to ...

it was very heavy wet slushy snow ...

not a good day to be on the road driving to work ... !!!

And ... So ... It Begins ...

It's that time of year once again  ...

to bring out and start up the AeroGarden ...

Placing the Cherry Tomatoe pods in the one ...

and putting seeds into the little pods in the other tray ...

Should have 66 little veggie seedlings sprouting...

 in a few days or up to a couple of weeks ...

Gardening season has begun for me ... !!!

Where's The Snow ...

It's hard to believe that all the snow is gone in February ...

it was a beautiful day to be working out in the garden ...

Raking up the leaves and pine cones ...

as well as pruning the raspberry bushes ...

Getting an early start ... nothing to serious though ...

I have a feeling winter is not over yet ...

It felt good to be out in the sunshine ...

happy to have the garden cleaned up ... !!!

Moving The Greenhouse ...

A call went out to the neighbourhood ...

to help move this greenhouse ... to the garden ...

Don had built it over the winter in his garage ...

Step by step it was carried to the garden area ...

Greenhouse now in place ... a happy crew ...

Bonnie can get her plants started ...

we all look forward to receiving some of her produce ...

she is an amazing gardener ...

The happy crew was ready to sit down ...

over a few drinks and delicious turkey dinner ...

along with discussing the events of the day

A job well done ... !!!

A few minutes of leisure first thing in the morning ...

then breakfast and out the door they went ...

working in the shop ... 

Ella washing parts to get ready to have them sandblasted ... 

and riding the quads and dirt bikes ...

Busy group they are ... !!!!

Not sure what happened to Ella's quad ...

but daddy had to go across the field and tow her back ...

Oh dear, another issue for them to fix ... !!!

It will have to wait until the next time they come for a visit ...

it was time to pack things up ...

and head for home ... !!!
