Our holidays began with our flight from Cranbrook to Vancouver ...
the view was spectacular from the plane ...
We arrived at the Vancouver Airport and had a 6 hour layover ...
we toured the airport had a delicious dinner ...
and paid a visit to the Duty Free Store ...
Finally our plane arrived ... and it was time to board ...
flying with Lufthansa to Europe ...
We left Vancouver in the evening ... catching a glimpse of the sunset ...
Ten hours later ... May 15th ...we finally arrived in Munich, Germany ...
My cousin Klaus met us at the airport ...
to drive us another 3 hours to Laakirchen in Austria ...
passing by the Danube River and later by the old power station on the Traun River ...
to his home where we were going to stay for our holidays ...
Resi had stayed home and prepared a delicious dinner for us ...
Dinner was sooooo good ... Roulanden and noodles served with a salad ...
After our meal ... Mike gave Klaus a gift of a Canadian made Single Malt Scotch ...
it was from Cape Breton ....
We also gave Resi a maple leaf shaped bottle of Canadian Maple Syrup ...
After dinner we drove Oma to Tante Paula's in Kirchham ...
where Oma was going to stay during our holidays ...
It was great to see Tante Paula again and meet with Sabina and her children ...
It was getting late and we were tired from our trip ...
it was time to head back to Laakirchen ...
Mike and Klaus decided to have a nightcap or two of Scotch ...
before calling it a night ...
It was going to be a busy day the next day ...
Good thing you took a picture... Can't remember eating at Resi's ... Sorry I missed it , she is an excellent cook !
