Halloween Party ...

We travelled to Alberta today ... to go shopping at Costco ...

while Craig was at his art lessons ...

Nathan met us after work ... he was going to get a haircut for the night's event ...

We had a quick dinner ... then the gang got dressed for the Halloween party ...

Oma was laughing so hard at Nathan's costume ... !!! Actually we all were ... !!!

We now knew why Nathan needed that haircut and a shave ...

Oma opted to stay at the house ... and enjoy a quiet evening ...

Nathan and the grandchildren walked over to the party ...

Mike and I would join them later ...

We were surprised to see that two of Nathan's friends ...

were dressed in the same outfit ...

It was priceless to see them like this ... just too funny ... !!!

It wasn't long before the guys were on the stage ...

singing karaoke ... and also had live music ...

Nathan was right in there singing a few tunes with Eddie ...

A few of the kids that were at the party ... took turns performing as well ...

The cutest one singing was 3 year old Hudson ...

 

There was always an audience ...

enjoying all the performances ... at one point I even joined in with Nathan ...

The kids were having so much fun ...

between running around outside ... having pillow fights on the trampoline ...

and joining in the indoor activities ...

It was a late night ... as I was the designated driver ... there were a few trips ...

getting everyone home safely ...

It was nice to see quite a few of the CNP gang there ...

as well as meeting some new of their new friends ...

We had a great time ... !!!

A Scary House ...

This was a scary house on Halloween night ...

I was told that hundreds of kids came to see it ...

The grandchildren had a busy night ... out trick or treating ...

School Festival …

We finally arrived at the school for the "Day of the Dead" festivities to begin …
the boys went to spend their money on a few trinkets …
Ella & I were busy making a candy bracelet …

We then entered into the Haunted House …
the older school kids …
did a great job … scaring every one of us … it was so dark in their …

 The kids were running around playing all sorts of games …
the adults sitting back …eating Mexican food … drinking beer (at School) …
and relaxing enjoying listening to the music …

We then drove back to the gated community …
and the children were eager to start going door to door …
"Trick or Treating"
they sure hauled in a lot of candy …
in a short time …

Halloween traditions finding its way into the Mexican communities now…

Entering Tequisquiapan ...

We finally arrived in Tequisquiapan ... and had some time to visit the centre ...
before heading to the Halloween Festival at the school ...
we were all surprised to see "Herbie" parked on the street ...
the kids got a big kick out of it ....

They were getting ready for the "Day of Dead" festivities ...
using sawdust and food colouring to make these large designs ...

 

The grandchildren were excited to go for a train ride ...

around the square ... with Grandpa ...

they were having so much fun that the Train Engineer ...

took them around a couple more times ...

Ready For The Party ...

Craig ... James and Ella are all dressed ready for Halloween ... going to a party at their school ...and later Trick or Treating within their community ...

Special treat for the kids to spend a few pesos on Halloween treats ...

or on whatever they choose ...

Nathan and Katie dressed for the party as well ... 

and of course ... 

Grandpa had to get in on the action ...
