We had a lovely dinner with Oma and friends ...

at the Joseph Creek Mother's Day Buffet ...

The buffet was incredible ...

so much to choose from ... and absolutely delicious ... !!!

Our day was so special ...

receiving many cards ... phone calls ...

call from Nathan with Anniversary wishes from their family ...

emails ... messages and flowers ...

Oma and I both received flowers for our Anniversary and Mother's Day ...

from our family in Houston, Texas ...

Thank you Ian, Kendall, Daigen and Nixon ...

Mike & I had decided on our Anniversary to spend this day ...

out on Premier Lake ... fishing ...

It was a rather slow catching day ... change in weather and eating habits ...

We enjoyed our day cruising around the lake ... catching two fish ...

one was released back to the water and the other we brought home ...

We have been so blessed with fishing out on this lake ... bringing home a supply of Trout ...

Mike even had a chance to do some fly fishing ...

before we packed up and headed for home ...

It was a perfect way to celebrate our Anniversary ... !!!

 

Happy 80th Birthday ...

This past weekend we celebrated Oma's 80th birthday ...

with her friends and some of her family ...

at Joseph Creek Village ...

We were busy getting the coffee room decorated ...

before Oma came down to her party ...

Oma was waiting upstairs until she had the go-ahead to come downstairs ...

It was perfect for the great-grandchildren ...

to go and change into their party clothes... keeping Oma busy ...

Oma finally arriving into the party room ...

she was so surprised to see so many of her friends ...

as well as those who did not reside at Joseph Creek Village ...

Time for Oma to blow out all of those 80 candles ...

not

only two candles on top of the numbers 80 ... !!!

Oma was escorted to her table ... I proceeded to cut the birthday cake up ...

while

Craig ... James and Ella were helping ...

with serving the birthday cake to everyone ... !!!

It was a great beginning to her party ... !!!
