At The Neighbours
Our neighbours Don & Bonnie ...
have an amazing garden ...
I received a phone call ...
asking if I was interested in some of the vegetables ...
of course ...
I headed up there right away with buckets and bags ...
This is one of their Tomatillo Plants ...
it has taken over this part of the garden ...
and the greenhouse has numerous plants growing as well ...
very interesting vegetable ...
Flowers are still in full bloom ...
beautiful colours ...
This is what I came home with ...
I was so excited ...
nothing better than having fresh vegetables from the garden ...
This will keep me busy in the kitchen ...
preparing some meals ...
(making care packages for Mike)
Cabbage Rolls ... Tomatillo Salsa ... Vegetable Soup ...
and then preserving the rest ...
maybe not the carrots ...
raw is best ... they are so sweet ... !!!

What a haul....it is a wonderful thing to have good neighbors with a big garden to share.......I am sure that they will receive a wonderful basket of goodies in return...I am anxious to see all that produce on your shelves!
