Perfect Day ...

To Cut Our Christmas Tree

We woke up to see all the fresh snow out our window ...

it was beautiful ...

Decided it would be the perfect day to cut down our Christmas Tree ...

We waited until it was warmer in the afternoon ...

We have been scouting out trees for a few weeks now ...

we found one down at moms ...

just along the side of the road ...

Mike had to cut a few of the bramble bushes down ...

in order to get close to the tree ...

we were hoping it would fall towards the road ...

but that did not happen ...

it fell in the opposite direction ...

so we had to find a path to drag it out and up to the road ...

we took our time packing it out on flat ground ...

taking small steps to avoid injuring my foot ...

Lifted up into the back of the truck ...

we drove it home and placed it in the shop ...

until next weekend ...

when it will brought into the house to decorate ...

(oh yes boys ... your dad cut it a foot and half to long again ... !!!!)
