Play Ball ...

It was a chilly evening ...
the kids didn't mind ...
they were excited to have a game ...
James was ready to bat ... daddy was pitching ...
he got a hit ... and ran to first ...
getting a pep talk from mom on third ...
she will give the signal when to head for home ...
Run ... James ... Run ... !!!!

James in full gear  ....
 took a turn at being back catcher ...
 

Ella's turn up to bat ...
isn't she cute ...
daddy giving her tips on how to hold the bat ...
she did manage to hit the ball ...
and made it all the way to home base ...

 

Craig was getting bored ...
so we headed to the other end of the schoolyard ...
and found a basketball ...
one of the other kids who was supposed to be playing ball ...
decided he would rather shoot baskets ...
although that didn't las very long ... and he was called back to his team ...

 

It was grandmas turn to step in a play with Craig ... 

we chased each other back and forth on the court ...

shooting baskets ...

when we could ...

(yes ... I did get a few)

we had a great time ...

and then we went for a walk back to the ball game ...

I figured I would stand still for Craig to take a picture ...

really didn't need an action shot ...
