Vintage Bartender ...

November 22, 2015
When the kids were here for Oma's birthday ...
Craig had remembered that grandpa had an old toy from his grandfather ...
of course grandpa had no idea where it was ... he told Craig to ask me ...
as usual ... I knew exactly where it was ...
I brought it into the kitchen ...
and when they were done with soaking in the hot tub ...
they all decided to have a look at it...
There definitely were a few issues with it ... the Bartender would light up ...
but that was it ...
they all tried everything to get it going ...
Grandpa told them he would have to take it to the shop and have a look at it ...
Mike was able to fix the Vintage Bartender ...
cleaning up the motor inside ...
soldering a few wires that had come apart ... glued the Martini shaker top back on ...
as well as the Martini glass on the stem ....
He then turned on the switch and lo and behold ...
the Bartender started to shake the Martini shaker ... pour it into the glass ...
raise up the Martini glass to his mouth and drink it up ...
it was too much for him ... it lit his face up to fire red and smoke blew out of his ears ...
It was so wonderful to see this little toy working again ...
I can still remember being in Grandpa Carpenters basement ...
over at the bar ...
when he would turn on the switch for this Bartender to do his thing ...
Loved it ... !!!!
