Happy Days ...

Celebrating St.Patrick's Day at a parade ...

getting lots of beads ...

then an exciting Easter Egg hunt ... just look at those baskets ... !!!

Daigen got a job to sharpen 50 pencils .10cents a piece.

He earned $5 for new batteries ...

he was given this job by friends of Kendall's for their Bunko night.

Oh ... happy day when the new dirt bikes arrived for the boys ...

The boys were so excited ...

they helped daddy in the garage ...

to build the dirt bikes and get them running ...

love the training wheels on Nixon's dirt bike ...

and seeing Daigen working on his bike ...

The boys are ready to ride ...

they sure look happy ...

Now daddy will have to take them to the country ...

for Daigen and Nixon to learn how to handle these machines ...

Easter Celebrations ...

We celebrated with Oma and everyone at the Easter Buffet ...

Joseph Creek Village ...

Nathan had decided to drive here on Easter Sunday ...

the eggs had to be decorated for the Easter Bunny to hide ...

around the house and property ...

The Easter baskets were filled with goodies ... and ready for the Easter Bunny ...

Mike and I had gone outdoors and saw where some of the eggs were hidden ...

The grandchildren will be so excited when they arrive ...

The kids arrived around 6:30 ... in plenty of time to go on their Easter egg hunt ...

They were worried they might have to use flashlights to find all the eggs ...

It was a great workout for them ...

after being in the truck for a few hours ...

to go running around gathering the eggs ...

 

Pink For Ella ...

Ella was so excited when Nathan showed her ...

the new pink body for her quad ...

and new tires ...

They rode their dirt bikes and quads ...

every day ... lots ...

throughout the holidays ... !!!

Easter Baskets ...

The Easter Egg hunt was a success ...

the kids were running all over to find all the hidden eggs ...

After enjoying our waffle breakfast ...

Nathan and the family went to town ...

 to spend the afternoon riding their dirt bikes and quads at a track.

Nathan is spending as much time as he can  ... 

riding his new dirt bike .... 

The Easter Egg hunt was on ... 

at Daigen and Nixon's house ...

a trail of eggs leading them to their surprise ...

They had a busy day with families coming to the house to enjoy the festivities ...

I think the "Rock'em Sock'em" game will be played with a lot ...

 It's been a long time since the whole gang here had seen one ... !!!

We had a great time on Skype visiting with them on Easter morning ... !!!

Oma came out for our Easter turkey dinner ...

It was a busy eventful day ... !!!

Egg Colouring ...

Daigen and Nixon received their package from Grandma and Grandpa ...

they were so excited when they saw the package at the door ...

Kendall said they were thrilled when they saw the chocolate Easter Bunny ...

and the Easter Egg colouring kit ...

After the eggs were coloured ...

it was time to hit the pool ... 

We spent the evening before Easter ...

colouring eggs as well ...

All different colours ...

my favourite were the Tie-dyed eggs ...

Once the eggs were done ...

it was time to watch a movie  ...

and then an early bedtime ...

so the Easter Bunny could make all his deliveries ...

Before Easter ...

Preparations before Easter ...

I went for a walk down to the lake ...

and picked a few pussy willows ...

bringing them home and arranging them in to a vase ...

in order to hang up some of the hollow Easter Eggs ...

We have been creating these decorated eggs in the family for years ...

Oma gave me a few dozen that she had kept ...

It sure brings back a lot of memories ... !!!

Easter morning was crazy in the house ...

kids searching for their basket ...

and all the hidden Easter Eggs ...

Ella was excited to receive more elastics and a new round loom ...

to make  more friendship bracelets ...

The boys could hardly wait for Grandpa ...

to give them a hand ...

in setting up their new little remote control ...

helicopters ...

Breakfast was an issue ... trying to get it made ...

with these little choppers flying around ...

finally the kids were hungry enough ...

and stopped to enjoy  waffles ... fruit and whipped cream ...

After breakfast we all headed outside ...

to fly the stunt kite ...

that the Easter Bunny had left for the family ...

We had another busy afternoon ... 

working on the tree fort ...

today they were going to put the roof on ...

the grandchildren were determined to get this done ...

before they headed back home ...

This has been a wonderful experience for everyone ...

the children learning ... with Grandpas guidance ...

 gathering construction material ... 

and working with the hand tools ...

A job well done ... !!!
