Warming Up The Kitchen ...

It was another full day of baking the next batch of cookies ...
These are one of my favourites ...
with a little black pepper and flavour of ground anise seed...
"German Pfefferneusse"
(Peppernut Balls)
 
My all-time favourite is the Viennese Crescent ...
"Vanillekipferl"
once these cookies are baked ...
they get a dusting of vanilla flavoured icing sugar ...
while still warm and then again once they are cooled ...
It is tradition in our family that these two recipes would be made ...
for the Christmas holidays ...
