Poor Mike ...
unfortunate incident happened again ...
he went for a walk last night around his place in Calgary ...
and was attacked on his heel by a wasp ...
it had latched itself to Mike's sock ...
and kept stinging him at least eight times ...
before he could get it off ...
he left work early to go to the doctors ...
and then drove home ...
his foot elevated and ice packs to help with the swelling ...
this is Thunder Foot ...
so swollen and numbness up to his knee ...
Mike has a history of being stung ...
not sure why they like him so much ...
he was stung last week ...
working on the woodshed ...
while cutting one of the boards ...
a wasp flew up his pant leg and stung him on the inner thigh ...
many years ago when we lived in the Crowsnest Pass ...
he was stung on the ear ...
it blew up like a balloon ...
was known as "Elephant Ear"
then another time he was stung on the arm ...
would have sworn he ate to much spinach ...
so it was "Popeye Arm"
Boys are you laughing yet ?
It seems these incidents tend to come up in conversations ...
when the kids tell stories about their dad ...
and the other person we usually have to pick up off the floor ...
overcome with laughter ...
is Oma ... !!!
Mike just wants you to know ...
"that it is not funny ...
it's not comfortable ...
where's all the support and sympathy ... ? "
He will be resting for a couple days ...
then back to working on the woodshed ..
That looks so painful...I know why the boys would crack up...but your Mom? No sympathy for poor Mike...tell him his boss phoned me and asked me to pass this message on... he said for Mike to take the week off and get better! :)
ReplyDeleteOh No! I have sympathy for you, hope the swelling and pain goes away soon:) And stop trying to be friends with wasps.lol They obviously don't like you:) Love Preggo
