Mike arrived from town with another load of lumber for the woodshed ...
I decided to stay home and canned another 2 batches of peaches ...
we had lunch and then went out to go to work ...
boy ... was it a hot day ... 30 degrees ...
good thing we were partially in the shade ...
So busy working away ...
being Mike's right hand person ...
packed a lot of lumber ...
didn't have time to take many photos ...
framework completed ...
and Mike putting on the last sheet of OSB ...
Time to get the tractor to lift this huge wall up ...
it was a little scary at times ...
when the wall was being moved ...
and swaying in the air ...
I did have a good hold of it to stabilize it ...
we braced it up so that Mike could go to the other side ...
to lift the wall into place ...
The back wall up ...
braces put up ... levelled ...
and lots of nails fastened it to the deck ...
thank goodness for the air nailer ... or else we would still be out there with hammers ...
a good days work ...
took us about 5 1/2 hours in total ...
to complete this part of the project ...
work site cleaned up ...
I went in to start dinner ...
and Mike went for a refreshing swim in the pool ...
(it's a little to cool for me ... 22 degrees C ... brrrr ...
I prefer it around 30 degrees C)
that's it for today ...
tomorrow we'll build the sides ...
and roof supports ...
if we can move ....!!!!
