Once Mike and I had finally sat down ...
after getting home ... unpacking and getting the house warmed up ...
we opened up our Christmas gifts ...
Mike had received a new knife sharpener ...
he had wanted one to keep the fishing fillet knife sharp ...
so ... since we were going to have a Halibut dinner for our Christmas meal ...
it was the perfect time to test it out ...
We were both amazed at how well it worked ...
those knives were razor sharp ...
The Halibut was cut into strips ... dipped in batter and fried ...
roasted potatoes and Caesars Salad ...
made a light delicious dinner ...
It was a quiet, relaxing Merry Christmas ... with just the two of us ... !!!
I have one of those sharpeners for my garden tools, work like a charm..glad Mike put his to good use helping get dinner in the table.
