Day 7 of Snow ...

February 10, 2017
So grateful to see the sunshine and blue skies ...
there was a skiff of snow on the deck this morning ...
After breakfast we cleared off the side deck ... as it was too much to take care of yesterday ...
The only issue was that it was warming up ...
and therefore the snow was heavier ... to toss over the railing ... for Mike to haul away ...
I was so happy to see that last shovel full of snow ...
to be thrown over the railing for this day ...
It was so beautiful ... and the warmth from the sun felt good ...
It's still hard to believe how much snow had fallen ... in a week ...
The garden is buried ... the potato boxes disappeared under the snow ...
The snow is high up on the fence ...
I think it would be difficult to open up the gate right now ...
We'll have to wait until the snow melts ...

These pictures were taken of Joseph Creek Village ...
Oma sent them out to all of our family in Europe as well ... they were surprised at how much snow there was ...
The residents were held captive ... no way to get out ...
It was difficult to try and go for a walk with the sidewalks pretty well buried ...
There was so much snow ...
that Joseph Creek and Cranbrook ...
were featured on the Global News Calgary station ... on the evening news ...
Mike and I managed to make our way into town ...
to enjoy a lovely evening with Oma ... Joe ... Mike and Shauna ...
at the Valentine's Day Buffet ...
